St. Joseph County Commission on Aging (Fitness Classes & Blood Pressure Checks)
The St. Joseph County Commission on Aging offers a variety of fitness classes to its members. Membership is free to St. Joseph County residents ages 60 and over. COA's current list of fitness classes includes: Cardio Drumming: Wednesdays/Fridays Oaks Enrichment Center (Sturgis) 2-3, Thursdays Rivers Enrichment Center (Three Rivers) 9:30-10:30; Arthritis Exercise: Tuesday/Thursday Rivers Enrichment Center 11-12; Balance Exercise: Monday/Wednesday/Friday Rivers Enrichment Center 11-12, Monday/Tuesday/Thursday Oaks Enrichment Center Monday&Thursday are 10-11 & Tuesdays are 2-3; Tai Chi: Thursdays 3-4 Oaks Enrichment Center; Line Dancing: Mondays 2-4 Oaks Enrichment Center, Fridays 9:30-10:30 Rivers Enrichment Center: Blood Pressure Checks: EVERY Friday from 10-11 Rivers Enrichment Center, The 1st and 3rd Mondays 11:30-12 Oaks Enrichment Center

St. Joseph County Parks and Recreations
Why are County Parks important? Studies show that being outdoors improves health and wellbeing. St. Joseph County Parks encourage healthy lifestyles by being available for a variety of recreation all year round. Parks are shown to be one of the top three factors in the quality of life of a community. Green spaces promotes conservation of natural resources, protects natural habitats and helps to improve water and air quality. County Parks bring visitors! Tourism is great for our local economy. The St. Joseph County Parks & Recreation Department strives to offer beautiful, natural parks for our residents, visitors and wildlife. Our goal is to provide the public with outstanding recreational experiences, in parks that make the most of and protect our unique natural resources.
